Youth talent partnership announced with Texo Drone Survey & Inspection (UKCS) Ltd

Aberdeen Football Club and Aberdeen-based Texo Drone Survey & Inspection (UKCS) Ltd have today confirmed sponsorship of elite young players within the AFC Youth Academy.

The arrangement sees Texo becoming the Club’s official young player Talent Partner from season 2017/18.

This agreement also builds on the previous-formed Heroes of Tomorrow initiative between AFC and Statoil and further extends the Club’s relationship with a number of local businesses in the private sector.

This is Texo’s first sponsorship arrangement with Aberdeen Football Club albeit they’ve been regulars within Pittodrie Stadium and attended both the Cup Finals last season.

Commenting on the partnership, Neil Simpson Head of AFC Youth Academy said "We're delighted to welcome Texo Drone Survey & Inspection (UKCS) Ltd onboard as our new Talent Partner - we've some very exciting and talented young players within our academy system so it’s really important that we’re able to support their development into potential full-time professionals at the Club. TEXO’s sponsorship will enable us to continue with a number of initiatives. This great news and we look forward to working closely with them in future.”

John Wood, chief operations officer Texo Drone Survey & Inspection Ltd added: "We recognise that Aberdeen FC is a stellar institution in this area, one which not only provides professional sport for its supporters on match-days, but which is connected with businesses and organisations across the region and reaches out into the local community in so many other ways.

Picking up the mantle from Statoil in being recognised as the Club’s Talent Partner and assisting them in their youth development programme with local children ticks a number of boxes for our company and we are both pleased and proud to have this association with AFC.”

Since its inception Texo Drone Survey and Inspection has positioned itself as the world leader in advanced UAV deployed survey and inspection services.
