Successfully building your online presence and improving your brand image, will be discussed by LR Senergy’s Software Marketing Coordinator at a Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) event this week.
Yekemi Otaru, who joined the energy services company in August this year, is speaking at the SPE Aberdeen’s Simplified Series 2015 event on Wednesday, December 2. The series aims to demystify the oil & gas industry for professionals.
Yekemi will talk about the importance of establishing a handful of meaningful online interactions rather than building a network of millions of followers on various social media channels. Her presentation will provide advice for those looking to improve their personal brand on social media by helping identify the most relevant channels as well as tips on how to develop a long-term strategy for increasing their online presence.
Yekemi, who has more than 10 years’ industry experience, has an engineering and marketing background and attained engineering and MBA degrees. She has combined this expertise and knowledge to write her first business book, The Smart Sceptic’s Guide to Social Media in Organisations, which will be available in January 2016.
