Work scheduled at AIA as part of £5m project

Upgrade works to the hold baggage system at Aberdeen International Airport will take place this weekend as part of a £5m project.

The new system will help streamline services at the terminal.

Staff will be on hand to help passengers who have to hold luggage and advise them where they can drop off their bags following check-in.

Passengers are asked to arrive at the airport in plenty of time to minimise any potential disruption.

Work will see the hold baggage system at Aberdeen International Airport upgraded as part of a £5m project.

A spokesman for Aberdeen International Airport said: “This is a huge investment in our terminal which will deliver a better service for our passengers once complete.

“This will cause some minor disruption to passengers travelling with hold luggage at the weekend and we ask they arrive in plenty of time at the terminal to check in bags.

“We have arranged support to assist passengers in our check-in queues in order to minimise the impact on our passengers as possible.”
