Wood Group has won a contract boost in the Middle East amid talks of a takeover.
The Aberdeen-headquartered firm will provide engineering services for TotalEnergies on a gas development in Iraq.
The contract, worth $46m (£35.99m), will see Wood provide design, procurement and construction services on the Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP) in southern Iraq.
Around 100 jobs will be created as a result.
It comes little over a week on from Wood engaging with Dubai-based suitor Sidara over a potential takeover worth 230p a share, or around £1.6bn.
Wood had already rejected three bids from their Middle Eastern rival, which directors said undervalued the business.
An original bid worth 205p a share was thrown out, before bids worth 212p a share and 220p a share were rejected.
Sidara has until 5PM on July 3 to announce whether it intends to make a firm offer of walk away from the deal.
