Befriend a Child is proud to announce that Civil Engineering Contractors, WM Donald, will return as headline sponsor of the charity’s Golden Anniversary Ball for the third consecutive year.
The event, taking place on May 30th at The Chester Hotel, will mark 50 years of supporting children and young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
WM Donald’s continued commitment to Befriend a Child comes at a milestone moment for the organisation, and their support plays a vital role in helping ensure the event’s success.

Guests of the Golden Anniversary Ball will enjoy a sparkling drinks reception, fun games, moving speeches, a delicious three-course dinner, and an unforgettable evening of entertainment, hosted by the charismatic Kevin Littlejohn. The night will also feature a charity auction, raffle, and plenty of opportunities to dance the night away – all in support of children facing difficult life circumstances.
The charity currently supports over 250 children and young people each year, providing positive role models, fun activities, and emotional support to help them build brighter futures.
As anticipation builds for the charity’s biggest fundraising event of the year, a variety of sponsorship opportunities are still available for organisations looking to align with a much-loved local cause. Each package offers unique brand exposure and a chance to support vital work in the community.

Tickets are priced at £100 per person or £1,000 for a table of 10, with all funds raised going directly towards Befriend a Child’s befriending and mentoring programmes, youth clubs, and family support services.
