The River Dee Trust is offering the opportunity to win a team building volunteering opportunity planting trees on the banks of the Mossat Burn, in scenic Donside.
Claire Fleming, the trust’s engagement officer explains: “It is always heartwarming to see the level of interest in the work that we do here at the trust – often spread through word of mouth when people have been involved in volunteering activities with us.
"From tree planting to debris-dam building, degraded tree tube removal and clearing invasive plant species, our volunteers do get to participate in some impactful and fun activities in some spectacular locations.
"However, because the volunteering opportunities we have are linked to the strategic and operational objectives of the trust, these are limited and are currently ringfenced for organisations that fund us through our River Dee Guardian scheme, as a charity of the year, or as educational funders, for example.
"Given the number of recent enquiries we have had, and to raise awareness of our vital river restoration work, we are giving a local corporate group the chance to spend a day with our team tree planting on the riverbank.”
