Who will be ABN’s 5555th member?

A networking and business development specialist is close to having 5555 people signed up to its online community and is offering an incentive for the member who correctly guesses when the site reaches the magic number.

Aberdeen Business Network (ABN) is encouraging current members of ABNCommunity.com to welcome new ones to the site by offering them a year’s ABN gold membership for free if they guess the exact date that its 5555th person joins.

The winner will have access to the variety of benefits an ABN gold membership brings including free-to-attend gold members-only events, 20 per cent discount on all networking events and business development training, a free annual networking audit and invitation to an exclusive group within ABNCommunity.com.

Andrew Smith, director of ABN, said: “We’re so close to reaching 5555 members and we hope to get to our target as soon as possible.

“Networking is so important at the moment due to the current climate in Aberdeen and I’d recommend every business to get involved. Building lasting relationships is crucial – you never know when a contact could help you and vice versa.”

ABN hosts regular networking and business skills development events across the city each month, while its online platform, ABNCommunity.com, allows members to follow-up on connections made, swap contacts and contribute to forum discussions.

Since the business started in 2008, around £10m worth of business has been generated between its members.
