West End Restaurant kicks off new networking event for business community

A North-east bar and restaurant has launched a new business event for the West End.

No.10 Bar & Restaurant (No.10), which is located on Queens Terrace, is hosting its inaugural networking event with businessman & former Crystal Palace Football Club owner & chairman, Simon Jordan.

The event, No.10 Quest10n Time, will take place on Friday, May 11, with Simon joining guests to share the ups and downs of his business life and inside details of his time as owner of his childhood club.

The millionaire became the youngest football league club owner at 32, following the sale of his phone shop business for £73m. As a lifelong Crystal Palace fan, he saw the club get promoted but ten years later, Palace went into administration and Simon lost nigh on everything.

He will also be sharing tales from his best-selling autobiography, ‘Be careful what you wish for’ which lifts the lids on how the game really works.

Restaurant manager at No.10, Andrew Stephen, said: “We are delighted to be launching our first networking event and pleased to be welcoming Simon to Aberdeen. He has a great story to share and I am sure the guests will enjoy his interesting accounts from his business life and perspective from the inside of a football club.

“As we are based in the heart of the West End, we wanted to create an event for the surrounding business community and we see this being the start of a new series of events where guests can network, enjoy some lunch and listen to inspiring speakers.”

The event will be hosted by Pauline Fraser of Frasermedia with money on the day raised for Aberdeen FC Community Trust. Tickets to the events are £70pp which include a two course lunch on the day. Table sizes can be flexible.
