FatFace to open new store in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord Centre
FatFace will open in the Bon Accord Centre just a few months after closing its Union Square store.
The retailer, known for its outdoor casualwear, had started life in Aberdeen with a shop on Back Wynd.
The brand then moved to Union Square, beginning in the current Boux Avenue unit.

Delayed cancer centre set to open in 2026
A delayed cancer centre in Aberdeen should be open to patients from early next year, according to NHS Grampian.
The Anchor Cancer Centre and Baird Family Hospital were due to open in 2020, but have both faced significant delays.
Papers to go before the NHS Grampian board on Thursday said the most recent budget forecast of £261.1million remained under pressure. The figure is £100million more than the initial budget.
New Universal theme park confirmed for UK
A new Universal theme park will be built in the UK, the government has confirmed.
It will be constructed on the site of the former Kempston Hardwick brickworks near Bedford and is expected to generate 28,000 jobs before it opens in 2031.
Universal estimated the 476-acre complex could attract 8.5 million visitors in its first year and generate £50billion for the UK economy by 2055.

Network Rail unveils £1bn-plus Liverpool Street station upgrade
New plans have been submitted for the £1billion-plus redevelopment of Liverpool Street station in the City of London.
Network Rail has been exploring for a number of years how it could improve Britain’s busiest railway station, which opened in 1875, but has run into opposition from heritage groups in the past.
Robin Dobson, property director at Network Rail Property, said the scheme, if approved, would “deliver vital improvements to the everyday experience of passengers while respecting and celebrating the station’s historic character”.
