"We Too," a local Aberdeen charity dedicated to empowering families of children with additional support needs, is thrilled to announce its partnership with the Inverurie Panto for the upcoming production of "Rapunzel" at Inverurie Town Hall, running from Saturday, December 9 to Sunday, December 24, Christmas Eve.
Donations and funds raised by visitors to the Inverurie-based show will help power the work of the charity across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. In addition, We Too, has once again collaborated with the Pantomime to create a relaxed performance on the afternoon of Saturday, December 16th, allowing children and adults with additional support needs, and their families, to enjoy the festive show.
"We are honoured to partner with We Too for this year's production of 'Rapunzel,'" said Keith Donaldson, Producer of the Inverurie Panto. "Christmas is about bringing joy to everyone, and with We Too's help, we are once again taking significant steps to make our Panto more inclusive and accessible. This will be the fourth year we have worked in partnership with We Too to create a relaxed performance, so I’m delighted that the charity can also benefit financially this year from being our chosen charity”.
Visitors to the panto will also have access to a detailed ‘visual and performance guide’, describing what to expect on arrival at the venue, and during the show, allowing all visitors to make their own necessary personal sensory adjustments to enjoy their visit on whichever date they choose.
Phionna McInnes, CEO of We Too, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating, "We Too is delighted to join forces with the Inverurie Panto. Together, we are breaking down barriers and ensuring that all families can create lasting memories during the festive season. We are immensely grateful for the support and commitment of the Inverurie Panto to making a difference."
The partnership between We Too and Inverurie Panto also includes a limited release of opening night tickets, with all monies raised by sales also going towards supporting the work of the charity. Tickets are available now via the We Too social media channels and via Eventbrite.
The Inverurie Panto, which originated in 1980 following the temporary closure of His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen, is a semi-professional production renowned for its music, dance, and local humour.
