A dockside
freight yard, more accustomed to handling offshore cargo, will undergo a
spectacular transformation this summer to become one of Scotland’s biggest
outdoor music venues for The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025.
‘Peterson
Seabase’ at Port of Aberdeen will become a 7,000-capacity venue hosting top
acts on the main stage, along with food outlets and bars from 18 - 22 July.
The stage
will be equipped with state-of-the-art festival production, promising an
unforgettable experience for gig goers.
The site
is ordinarily used by supply chain solutions company Peterson Energy Logistics
- an associate sponsor of Tall Ships Aberdeen - for the movement of goods,
managing 1,000 lifts and 50 vehicles each day for clients in the oil and gas
and renewables sectors. Operations at Peterson Seabase will move to one of the
company’s other Aberdeen locations to accommodate the Tall Ships celebrations.
