Vysus Group, the global engineering and technical consultancy, has announced a
series of new senior appointments as part of the transformation of its
Consulting leadership team. The Aberdeen-headquartered company has restructured
its consulting operations to enable it to adopt a more holistic, regionally
focused approach across its multiple service lines.
The move will
enable Vysus to combine its various consulting services to provide clients with
greater insights and support across the entire value chain.
Joining
the leadership team is Khaled Hamd who joins as Vice President Consulting for
the Middle East and India. Khaled has 28 years of experience in leadership
and general management for regional and global companies operating in
construction, management, testing, inspection, certification, and compliance,
where he held positions from Project Manager to Chief Executive Officer.
Elsewhere, Angel Casal, who first joined the company more than 15 years ago and has held various managerial and technical roles in Australia and in Spain, has been promoted from Business Manager, Spain to Vice President Consulting for Europe. Also promoted is Remi Martini, who moves into the role of Vice President Consulting for Scandinavia, and Vishal Lagad who moves from Operations Director, Consulting to Vice President Consulting for the Americas.
Remi has extensive risk management experience and has been part of the team for a decade – most recently as Department Manager, based in Bergen. Vishal, who is based in Houston, is also a long-service employee having been part of the Vysus team for more than 11 years.
Vysus Group’s Senior Vice President of Consulting, Thomas Aas Saethre said: “The transformation of the Consulting leadership team marks an important milestone in the re-focusing of the wider Vysus Group to consolidate our position for continued global growth across a broader range of industries.
“The appointment of Khaled Hamd and promotions of Angel Casel, Remi Martini and Vishal Lagad complete the transformation of our Consulting leadership organisation and puts us in a very strong position from which to continue developing our regional Consulting presence. We have a proven track record in delivering our asset and risk management services within our existing core markets and geographies. This regional approach allows us to better tap into new areas and to consolidate our technical expertise in a more holistic manner.
“It is always pleasing to see long-serving colleagues develop their careers and move into leadership positions and I look forward to working with the new leadership team as we continue to drive forward our growth plans in 2024 and beyond.”
