VisitAberdeenshire,
the regional destination marketing organisation for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire,
has launched its latest Quarterly Business Monitor survey to help understand
the trading environment from October to December, and what lies ahead in early
2024.
Now
in its tenth wave, the survey is now open to tourism and hospitality businesses
to complete. The anonymous survey generates key insights that are shared
shortly after the closing date. The report provides baseline data relating to
past performance, future enquiries, bookings, and optimism levels.
Highlights
from the last survey’s results said businesses had noticed an increase in
international visitors, and visitors in general, with 7 in 10 businesses
feeling positive about the next 12 to 24 months. Barriers included short-term
let legislation, increasing business costs and staff shortages.
Chris
Foy, CEO, VisitAberdeenshire, said: “To help inform our work, it is critical
that we understand more about the opportunities, and potential challenges,
heading businesses’ way in 2024.
“As
always, we want to hear from businesses across the industry but would be
particularly keen to hear from pubs, restaurants, cafes, activity operators,
and food and drink experiences to help foresee any emerging trends among these
businesses in the North-east of Scotland.”
The survey is open
until Monday, January 15 at 8pm. See link here: https://www.surveyhero.com/c/QBMJan24
