North-east catering firm Entier is reported to have been acquired by US food services company Aramark for an undisclosed sum.
The Westhill-based firm was founded by chef Peter Bruce in 2008 and currently employs 700 people internationally, with an annual revenue of nearly £80million.
According to multiple reports this morning, it has now been bought by food services giant Aramark, which had a turnover of £14billion in 2024, although neither firm has commented on the deal.
Mr Bruce founded the firm following an 11-year career with Compass and initially focussed on offshore catering.
The business branched out into luxury catering with the acquisition of Perthshire Wild Thyme in 2016.
That deal came with exclusive rights to catering events at Glamis Castle in Angus, Carlowie Castle near Edinburgh and the Glenturret Distillery in Crieff.
In 2017, the business secured a £6.5million investment from Business Growth Fund (BGF) to expand its overseas operations.
It reached a turnover of £76.8 million in 2023, according to its latest accounts filed at Companies House, with pre-tax profit hitting £2million.
