Aberdeen business owner, Claire Kinloch, has reported a 225% growth in employment and 307% increase in turnover over the past 12 months, despite low oil prices causing adverse effects on businesses in the North-east.
Genoa Black, her strategic marketing agency, has seen business go from strength to strength with a number of high profile projects in 2015. This has included the development and delivery of an extensive member research programme in support of Decom North Sea’s marketing strategy and appointment as the AECC’s creative agency, refreshing the venue’s brand identity and supporting preparations for a move to new premises.
Claire and the Genoa Black team were also appointed to lead change management at Edrington Group this year, for a new global SAP project, bringing together key global markets including the UK, Asia, Dominican Republic, Europe and the US.
She said, “Since we launched in 2013 our team and diverse client portfolio have grown rapidly, surpassing all targets, and continuing to do so in a period of uncertainty for many businesses. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary at the end of last month, and we are all incredibly proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time.”
Claire has an extensive background in marketing, with over 20 years’ experience and has held senior positions at Orange and The Leith Agency. Her client experience has ranged from working with individual entrepreneurs, SME’s as well as blue-chip clients including VisitScotland, First Group, Tesco, Wood Group and Arla Foods.
