Two stunning Nuart Aberdeen murals have been handpicked as contenders for a major global street art award.

Nuno Viegas’ Queen Of Hearts and Slim Safont’s The Punishment were nominated for the “Best Of 2022” prize created by Street Art Cities – one of the biggest online street art communities in the world.

Voting is open now until January 30, and to support the Granit City murals you need to vote here.

Aberdeen Inspired, the Business Improvement District (BID) organisation behind Nuart, said it was delighted to see two of its 2022 artists receive such global critical acclaim.

Nuart Aberdeen is the only street art festival in Scotland and one of the UK's leading festivals of its kind.

Artists from around the globe transform the walls and buildings of Aberdeen city centre with works of art that are free for all to enjoy, 365 days a year.

Aberdeen Inspired was thrilled with the response in 2022 and has confirmed the street art festival would return later this year.
