Ledingham Chalmers have recently recruited Lesley McKnight as senior solicitor, and Emma Somerville as solicitor.
Lesley is involved in all aspects of private client work including the drafting of wills; the creation and management of trusts; succession planning; asset protection and tax mitigation, both during life time and at the time of someone’s death.
She is experienced in the administration of estates and can advise on powers of attorney, guardianships, Intervention Orders as well as Access to Funds Orders.
She particularly enjoys working with vulnerable clients and the elderly and those who lack capacity and their families.
Outwith her work as a solicitor she is an emotional support volunteer for CLAN and has spent a great deal of time assisting their fundraising team.
Emma joined as a solicitor in the Ledingham Chalmers family team in October 2016.
Having completed her traineeship and worked as a solicitor with firms in Dundee and Montrose, Emma brings experience of appearing regularly in the sheriff court in both criminal and family cases, and has dealt with powers of attorney, children’s panels, child law and divorce with financial disputes.
She can assist clients with a wide range of other family matters in or out with court, including separation, child contact and cohabitation agreements.
