Donald Trump is "very angry" with Vladimir Putin after struggling to make progress with ceasefire talks, the US president has said.
Trump made the comment, adding that he was "p***** off", during an interview with NBC News.
And in an effort to force the issue, Trump warned he could impose a huge 50% tariff on countries buying Russian oil if Putin did not agree to a ceasefire.
Trump also indicated, the BBC reports, that he was unhappy with Putin for attacking Volodymyr Zelensky's credibility.
During the NBC interview, Trump said: "You could say that I was very angry, pissed off, when... Putin started getting into Zelensky's credibility, because that's not going in the right location.
"New leadership means you're not gonna have a deal for a long time."
He added that "the anger dissipates quickly... if he does the right thing".
