Donald Trump has responded to Joe Biden calling his supporters "garbage" in a row over a Republican rally in New York City.
On a Zoom call with Latino voters, the president condemned Tony Hinchcliffe, who told the Trump rally last week that Puerto Rico was a “floating island of garbage”.
However, Mr Biden said: "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s.”
In response, Trump seemed to seize the opportunity on Wednesday by appearing at the wheel of a rubbish truck in Wisconsin.
He later appeared on stage in a bright orange vest, and declared that the millions of American's who voted for him "are not garbage."
Kamala Harris has continued to distance herself from the controversy, telling reporters she "strongly" disagrees with "any criticism of people based on who they vote for".
