The Trinity Centre’s nineteenth annual Easter Egg Appeal has now come to a joyful end, another year another egg-cellent result.
With a target of 5,200 Easter eggs with an aim to beat last year’s recording breaking total of 5,026 Easter eggs, with the continuous support from shoppers, businesses, contractors and retailers this year the shopping centre has smashed it by collecting and distributing a cracking 5,818 chocolate Easter eggs.
Linda commented, “We are absolutely delighted with the response that the appeal has attracted this year. Over the years we have developed a strong relationship with our shoppers along with local and national businesses that have offered their continuous support throughout the years. We have been amazed by the number of businesses getting involved this year by holding their very own Easter egg collection - with their help we have surpassed all expectations.
This is a charitable cause that is very close to the team’s heart, it makes all the hard work worthwhile when you get to see how happy the children are when they receive their egg.
On behalf of every child and adult who received an egg this year and over the past nineteen years we want to say a massive thank you”
The Trinity Centre’s Easter Egg Appeal is one of the largest Easter Egg Appeals in the city; the appeal invites shoppers and businesses to donate chocolate eggs which are then distributed to local children’s charities, hospitals, hostels, crèches and family centres. Since 2001 the centre has distributed over an incredible 56,595 eggs* to over 60 organisations in the North-east of Scotland**.
General manager, Linda Stewart and the rest of the Trinity Team would like to thank every single customer, retailer, local and national business that dropped off an egg you have helped spread some much needed Easter cheer in Aberdeen.
