Xcite Media, the company behind the annual Trades Awards ceremony has extended the award-entry deadline from Monday, February 29 until Monday, March 7 due to a last minute surge in the number of registrations.
This extension gives trades people and businesses an extra chance to promote business achievements, and go on to receive the deserved recognition.
The Trades Awards have received an unprecedented amount of nominations, promoting an extension, a decision made by an independent judging panel. The number of registrations has trebled since the event was launched in 2013.
Darren Ross, director at Xcite Media comments:
“The response to Trades Awards this year has been outstanding, with more companies registering to apply than ever before. Trades Awards are now entering their fourth year, and this increased interest reflects the huge support that they have received from the North-east trades and construction industry across the past three years.
"These awards were launched to showcase the fantastic talent that we have in the North-east, and we hope that the new application deadline will give companies who have been busy since the start of 2016 more time to put their application together, and perhaps even consider entering more than one category.
"It is important to remember that the public can also nominate an outstanding tradesman or apprentice for recognition at this year’s ceremony, and we encourage you to share your examples of excellence within the industry, so that trades people and businesses can be considered for these much sought-after accolades.”
Neil Thomson, construction director at Stewart Milne Homes North says:
“The Trades Awards is a great opportunity for businesses, employers and individuals alike to nominate a tradesperson who has, in their opinion, gone above and beyond, or excels in their chosen field. Stewart Milne will certainly be taking the opportunity to recognise some of the talent within our homes division this year.”
It is free to submit an application or nomination for Trades Awards, with fifteen categories open for entries, open to trades businesses of all sizes with an office in the North-east.
Each applicant is eligible to enter a maximum of three categories personally, and each finalist will be selected by an independent panel of judges, with winners announced at the annual Trades Awards event on Friday, June 10 2016.
