The Scottish Conservatives are to force a vote in Holyrood today calling on the SNP health secretary to resign.
The party said Neil Gray’s time in charge of the NHS had been “disastrous” and he was “distracted by a personal scandal”.
The call comes as Mr Gray faces mounting pressure to quit as health secretary after he misled MSPs over using ministerial cars to attend football matches.
The Dons fan was driven by a chauffeur to watch three Aberdeen games at Hampden and a home match.
He also used the car service to attend five Scotland games.
When details emerged last year, Mr Gray initially told MSPs that there were summaries of the meetings for the majority of games.
However, last week he apologised to the Scottish Government for falsely stating there were official documentation for all meetings he said he held during the matches he attended.
Despite the pressure for Mr Gray to resign, first minister John Swinney has insisted he will remain the health secretary in the autumn.
