For the third consecutive year, Tidy Green Clean is proud to be the headline sponsor of Aberdeen Science Centre’s highly anticipated “Science with Santa” event.
This year’s festive celebration, set to take place on Saturday, December 21, promises to be an unforgettable experience for children and families across the region.
TGC continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local community events that combine fun, learning, and seasonal cheer. The “Science with Santa” event will bring together science and the magic of Christmas for a morning filled with engaging activities, interactive workshops, and, of course, a special visit from Santa himself.
This year’s theme, “Christmas Chemistry,” will have children taking part in a hands-on workshop at the North Pole Bakery, where they’ll get to experiment with ingredients and even create their own festive volcano! A mischievous elf has removed all the labels from the jars, and it’s up to the young scientists to figure out which is sugar to save Santa from salty cookies.
In addition to the chemistry experiments, the children will embark on a scavenger hunt around Aberdeen Science Centre, following clues left by Santa’s elves and participating in fun-filled activities. The day will culminate in a visit to Santa’s uniquely styled grotto, where each child will have the chance to share their Christmas wishes and receive a small gift.
“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the ‘Science with Santa’ event once again,” said Igors Krumins of TGC North. “It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the holidays while encouraging young minds to explore the wonders of science. We’re proud to support Aberdeen Science Centre and the community with this one-of-a-kind experience.”
Steph McCann, head of fundraising at Aberdeen Science Centre, said: “We are extremely grateful to Tidy Green Clean, whose continued support as headline sponsor has enabled us to bring back Science with Santa and offer a visit to Father Christmas that’s a bit different.
"Of course, Santa is very busy in the run up to Christmas, so we are honoured he’s able to join us with his cheeky elves on December 21. As well as learning about STEM, we hope everyone will leave with great memories and a chance to get your list in with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole!”
The event is designed to offer a Christmas experience unlike any other, blending festive fun with educational activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Tidy Green Clean is proud to continue supporting initiatives that make a positive impact on the local community.
