More than 10,000 people looking for home ideas and inspiration are expected to visit Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre this weekend for the Scottish Home Show, sponsored by premium developer Dandara.
Now in its sixth year, the three-day event promises to be a one stop shop for anyone who is looking to move or improve with expert advice available on everything from taking on your first mortgage to DIY, interior design and gardening.
Celebrity builder Tommy Walsh will be on hand to share his DIY hints and tips with visitors and there will be live demonstrations including home improvement and flower arranging masterclasses at the main stage.
Tommy will also be served his ‘food heaven’ or ‘food hell’ in the event’s version of popular TV cooking show ‘Saturday Kitchen’ with Eat on the Green chef Craig Wilson taking inspiration from the event’s redesigned food and drink area ‘Food Street’.
For the first time, visitors will be able to download a Scottish Home Show app which features an interactive map, all exhibitor’s details, full demo schedule and live news feed. There’s also an opportunity to win prizes including a limited edition framed Ron Lawson painting, champagne afternoon tea for two at Meldrum House and a chair from Stirling furniture
The Scottish Home Show was acquired by SHS Exhibitions Ltd in November 2016.
