CALA Homes (North) has received approval from Aberdeen City Council for the principal planning application for the third phase of its Craibstone Estate development.

Approval of a supplementary application for technical conditions related to the phase is expected imminently.

The plans for 237 homes comprise apartments as well as terraced, semi-detached and detached homes.

This phase also includes 42 affordable properties, as well as the creation of a civic square with the provision of three retail units and office space, and a new road off the A96 which will provide direct access to the commercial units and the wider Craibstone Estate.

Lynn Melvin, senior land manager at CALA Homes (North), said: “We are pleased to have been granted planning permission for the third phase of Craibstone Estate.

“The approval comes as we prepare for the sales launch of the second phase of the development, Craibstone Estate South, so we are delighted to be making great progress with our overall vision for the site.

“The first phase has proved very popular with homebuyers. It is almost 70 percent sold with only three family homes remaining and 40 apartments.

“We will also be reaching some exciting milestones for phase two in the coming months including the sales launch in autumn and a new showhome launch in early 2022.”

Delivering the third phase will see CALA surpass the halfway milestone of this flagship community which will comprise 700 homes in total.
