The Trinity Centre have officially cracked open their 2019 Easter Egg Appeal with help from their Mascot Giddy the Gorilla.
Now on its nineteenth year, the appeal invites shoppers and local businesses to donate chocolate eggs which are then distributed to local children’s charities, hospitals, hostels, crèches and family centres. Over the past nineteen years The Trinity Centre has collected a staggering 50,824 eggs! The number of eggs collected has grown yearly from 400 in 2001 to 5,026 last year – and this year could be the most egg-cellent yet.
Linda Stewart, general manager, comments, “The more people who leave an egg, the more children will benefit. Last year we collected a record breaking 5,026 Easter Eggs, we’d love to beat last year’s total and with everyone’s help and support; we think we can make this the most successful appeal yet.”
“The generosity of Aberdeen’s public never ceases to amaze and I’m sure that this year will be no different. Your donation could make a big difference to someone this Easter and help put a smile onto a local child’s face.”
To donate a chocolate Easter egg please go to the drop off point on the centre which is a large perspex egg or alternatively come down to the Level 2 Management suite where a Trinity Centre Team Member will happily take your donation in. We will also be able to accept cash donations via the money slot on our egg where we can buy Easter eggs on your behalf.
We are also looking for local businesses, workplaces and schools to get involved by organising their very own Easter Egg drive for more details please call us on 01224 580076 or email toni.thomson@trinityaberdeen.co.uk. The latest date for donations will be Sunday, April 14.
