High ratings in student satisfaction and graduate prospects see The Law School at Robert Gordon University (RGU) move up the rankings in this year’s Complete University Guide.

The Law School has risen six places to secure 25th position and it is the only Law School from a modern university (post 1992) in the top 25.

On student satisfaction, The Law School has been rated second in Scotland and fifth in the UK.

On Graduate Prospects, the school is second equal with Glasgow.

Head of The Law School Ken Mackinnon said: “We are delighted with this result.

“Our rise up six positions reflects the great work the Law staff have been doing to ensure students have the best experience possible, from the very start of their journey with us through to embarking upon a career. We are involved in initiatives to ensure wider access to legal education, and are building into the programmes the skills that employers are looking for. ”

The Law School delivers a wide range of law degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level, the majority of which are accredited or recognised by the professional bodies.

Graduates can be confident that they hold an award that is recognised nationally and internationally, one which can enhance future opportunities in their chosen career. The prospects now available to Law School graduates reflects the success of the many initiatives put in place to prepare them for a life beyond university.

These include mooting and international competitions, pro-bono work experience through the School’s Law Clinic, networking opportunities, skills development, and guest lectures by practitioners.
