Bond Dickinson has teamed up with BMT Cordah Ltd, the multidisciplinary environmental consultancy which provides an extensive range of specialist services to the UK and international offshore oil and gas sector, to deliver an informative seminar on the increasingly active area of decommissioning and the environmental issues surrounding it.
Claire Brook, Partner in the national law firm's Planning and Infrastructure team, will speak on the environmental legislative matters which affect decommissioning in the North Sea, highlighting the pitfalls which can be encountered by companies and the issues they should be alert to.
Gareth Jones, Principal Consultant at BMT Cordah Ltd, will give insight into the underlying societal and environmental impact decommissioning can have on the marine environment and how best to manage these.
The event, for which there is no charge, is being held on Tuesday, June 30 in the Balmoral Conference Centre at the Norwood Hall Hotel, Garthdee Road, Aberdeen. Registration and refreshments will be available from 1745 and the seminar starts at 1800. At 1900 there will be a Q&A session followed by refreshments.
