Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Aberdeen Business School (ABS) is hosting a conference this week to showcase and discuss aspects of the school’s research, innovative learning and teaching activities.
The Business of Business Schools will feature presentations from ABS staff and research students, keynote talks, as well as a panel discussion to provoke thought and debate about the opportunities and challenges in business education and research.
The keynote speakers include Marion Bethel from the Office of Attorney General in The Bahamas who will explore the market place and human rights; Christine O’Neill, Chairman of Brodies LLP and a partner in the firm’s public law and regulatory team who will discuss Scotland’s constitutional transformation – the impact of devolution on business and law.
Jeremy Cresswell, energy editor at the Press and Journal, will give a presentation entitled ‘As tough as granite? NE Scotland’s recent past, present and maybe futures' and Gordon McIntosh, Director of Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure at Aberdeen City Council will also be speaking at the conference.
A number of parallel sessions held by ABS academics will also take place over the two-day conference. Topics include business education; perspectives and developments, contemporary legal issues, learning and teaching developments, transition and change, information and media, and current research themes.
