Return To Scene Limited, part of James Fisher and Sons plc will exhibit the next generation of its award-winning visualisation system, R2S Mosaic, at the Knowledge Transfer Network’s (KTN) ‘Forensic Science Technology Showcase’ in London on October 20.
The epitome of transferable technology R2S evolved within the forensic market before finding industry-wide uptake within the oil and gas sector. Coming full circle, the introduction of this next generation of the technology, R2S Mosaic, to the forensic and security sectors follows its successful launch to the energy industry last month.
Delegates at the KTN event will be introduced to the systems new smart features including point cloud measurement accuracy, intelligent search, and live data feeds. Plug-in capabilities also allow different software systems to work simply and fluidly together. Retaining its intuitive photographic interface, existing users, including law enforcement agencies globally, will find familiar features, terminology and navigation. The system can be utilised at all stages of an investigation and security planning, from the pre-planning stages through to presentation, briefing and lessons learned.
Laura Fairley, Lead Forensic Consultant: R2S Forensic, comments:
The showcase is the perfect forum to introduce this market to R2S Mosaic, it’s an extremely exciting time for our team. The law enforcement industry is rapidly advancing and to be adapting and changing our software to fit with our clients’ needs allows us to be at the forefront of crime scene technology.
The R&D conducted for R2S Mosaic has already created further development opportunities as we continue to look to the future. This includes working closely with fellow SME’s in the industry. The Showcase will allow us to engage with end users, SME’s and academia and, we’re viewing it as a fantastic platform for knowledge exchange.
