Aberdeen-based charity Befriend a Child brought together a host of businesses for their annual golf day on Friday, August 18 at Newmachar Golf Club, raising a total of £7,800.
The money raised at the event will go directly to Befriend a Child, enabling the charity to continue its host of programmes and projects including befriending and mentoring programmes for children and young people growing up in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Shire.
Sponsoring the event was CNR International as main sponsor and Zenith Energy Ltd as silver sponsor, with hole sponsorship from Peterkins, W M Donald Ltd and EnQuest.

Befriend a Child supports children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire through 1:1 and group befriending, mentoring programmes and projects. Over the years Befriend a Child's provision of programmes and projects has grown and today the charity supports approximately 250 children annually.
Children can be referred to Befriend a Child for several reasons such as a lack of confidence or self-esteem, social isolation, lack of a positive role model and substance misuse in the family.
