Taste of Grampian - the annual one-day food and drink festival – has snapped up the title of ‘Best Festival of the Year’ at the Aberdeen City & Shire Tourism Awards.
The festival, celebrating its 16th year, is designed to draw people to the region to celebrate the food and drink industry and showcase the local produce from Grampian and across Scotland. Festival organisers will now proceed to the Scottish Thistle Awards in Glasgow in March.
John Gregor, Chairman of Taste of Grampian, said: “We are delighted that Taste of Grampian has received recognition through this prestigious award - it is testimony to the huge support received from our many local food and drink producers, sponsors, partners and the team that make this event happen.”
Plans are already underway to make next year’s event the biggest and best yet on Saturday, June 4 2016 between 9.30am and 4.30pm at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.
