This week the team from Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are heading to Barcelona to take part in a leading industry exhibition.
Taking the stand alongside VisitScotland and partners including Gleneagles, Cameron House, SECC and Visit Inverness; AECC will be promoting Aberdeen to over 15,000 global visitors throughout the three-day event.
IBTM World, formerly known as EIBTM is an annual Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) show which takes place at Barcelona’s FIRA Gran Via from November 29 to December 1.
The team will be spreading news of the developments in the North-east of Scotland, most notably the state-of-the-art conference and exhibition centre due to open in Aberdeen in 2019 with 47,000 sqm of internal event space and three onsite hotels, including a 500 bedroom, four-star Hilton. Other developments taking place in the granite city include the £20million expansion project at Aberdeen International Airport.
Director of sales and marketing, Louise Lonie, commented: “IBTM is a brilliant opportunity to showcase Aberdeen to key buyers from across the globe. We are passionate about promoting the venue and the region. It is an exciting time for Aberdeen with a new, bigger venue on the horizon and we want everyone to hear about it.”
