First Minister John Swinney has chatted golf over tea and biscuits with Donald Trump's son in Edinburgh.
Eric Trump, who is the senior executive of the Trump Organization, met with the first minister at Bute House.
The BBC reports the meeting, which lasted close to an hour, focused solely on Trump's Aberdeenshire and Ayrshire golf resorts.
It comes in the wake of the Turnberry course being vandalised at the weekend by pro-Palestine protesters.
Swinney had also recently stated he was opposed to Donald Trump being offered a second state visit to the UK.
Following the meeting, which was also attended by Trump International executive vice president Sarah Malone, the Scottish government said the first minister "regularly meets with business people".
