Several new hires have joined the Reach Subsea team in the UK region, and the team has recently relocated to new office facilities to support growth.
This effort and dedication are also reflected in welcoming new clients to Reach Subsea.
Reach Subsea recently signed a frame agreement with a new client, successfully completing the first call-off assignment, which encompassed a range of inspection services aimed at identifying potential risks or issues affecting the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the operator’s subsea assets.
Despite challenging weather conditions and working in shallow areas around an FPSO hull, Reach Subsea utilised high-resolution photogrammetry cameras to capture precise dimensional data of selected Seachests. CP tools were deployed to assess the effectiveness of the ICCP system, obtaining intricate cathodic protection measurements on all risers connected to the FPSO turret. The WROV was fully integrated with tooling to secure itself to the hull, ensuring comprehensive scope completion and operational success.
A key highlight of the campaign was the inspection of a riser base spool in collaboration with Reach Subsea's trusted subcontractor, who provided a specialised UT scanning tool. The WROV conducted all inspection and marine growth cleaning preparations at the site prior to integrating and deploying the scanning tool.
Additionally, Reach Subsea performed an MBES and Digiquartz grid survey, gathering crucial data to support the client’s preparations for the installation of future subsea infrastructure.
The campaign, conducted over two weeks in November utilising the Olympic Taurus vessel, prioritised efficiency, safety, and compliance, delivering high-quality results and client satisfaction.
The client has reported that it is pleased with the performance of this first call-off.
Bård Thuen Høgheim, chief commercial officer, Reach Subsea, said: "This contract is a great example of how we are expanding our footprint in the UK and welcoming new clients as part of our growth strategy."
This latest project strengthens Reach Subsea's commitment to supporting the UK energy sector and underscores its reputation as a trusted partner for offshore services. By combining innovation, safety, and sustainability, Reach Subsea aims to meet the evolving needs of clients in oil and gas, renewables, and beyond.
Alastair McKie, manager director, Reach Subsea UK, said: "We are excited to provide our specialised services and build strong partnerships in this key market."
