A group of lawyers from Stronachs LLP are swapping their legal documents for sheet music as they prepare to deliver a one-off performance at a ladies’ afternoon tea party, organised by the law firm in honour of CLAN.
The “Tea in the Park” event will take place at The Park Cafe at Hazlehead Park on Friday, June 3, with all proceeds being contributed to CLAN, the law firm’s nominated charity for 2016.
Entertainment will be provided by an acoustic ensemble formed by Stronachs personnel. Partner Liz Stewart, will be the group’s lead singer with accompaniment on guitar and vocals from partner and solicitor advocate, Robert McDonald and solicitor Jamie Wilson.
The event, which is now completely sold out, is being organised by the full service law firm’s charity and social committee which is chaired by partner Carol Crowther.
She said: “CLAN is an inspirational local charity and a lifeline to so many families in the north-east whose lives have been affected by cancer, so the Stronachs team are honoured to be supporting this cause throughout the year.
“We’re organising the Tea in the Park event to recognise the fantastic work that CLAN does every day, and we are really looking forward to what we’re sure will be a great afternoon, with all money raised going towards this exceptional charity.”
The ladies’ event will feature exhibitor stands with luxurious and unique items available for you and your home, the opportunity to indulge in beauty treatments and the chance to win a range of exclusive raffle prizes.
There will also be a ‘closing date with a difference’ allowing people to bid privately for luxury items including a one of a kind necklace from Sinclairs in Inverurie designed exclusively for the event, and the keys to a top of the range Vauxhall Cascada convertible for a week.
CLAN provides emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis through treatment and beyond at 11 support and wellbeing centres located across North-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
