Stagecoach have teamed up with Northsound’s Mission Christmas, a charity organisation helping to provide Christmas gifts for children living in poverty across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The Cash for Kids initiative ‘Mission Christmas’ supports disadvantaged children, who would otherwise wake up on Christmas morning without a present to unwrap. To ensure Christmas for every child, they are collecting gift donations at drop-off points across the country. Stagecoach has a donation box located at Aberdeen Bus Station travel shop for gift donations which must be new and unwrapped, ready to be collected by Mission Christmas volunteers on December 18. Gift and cash donations can also be made on their website https://cashforkids.org.uk/mission.

Charity manager, Jamie Smith said: “We are delighted to have the support of Stagecoach for this appeal. Their continued support is invaluable and each year they truly go above and beyond to help local children. This year we have seen an increase in applications, and the support that Stagecoach and the wider community provide is more crucial than ever. We are very grateful to everyone involved in supporting our mission in making sure every child wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning.”

Managing director, David Beaton said: “It’s a pleasure to partner with Mission Christmas again to support families who are impacted by the cost-of-living crisis, particularly at this time of year. It’s great to see the work they do and the generosity of the local community, we’re delighted to play our part in achieving their goal.”

Stagecoach services will be temporarily changing over the Christmas and New Year period across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Banff, Buchan and Moray. Find out more here.
