The highly anticipated Lewis Capaldi concert at P & J Live expects to see 15,000 guests in attendance, which is why Stagecoach Bluebird are planning to operate an enhanced PJ1 shuttle service to get fans to the gig quickly and safely.
Taking the bus allows concertgoers to avoid traffic congestion and the hassle of parking. Staff will be on hand at Union Square bus station to assist customers and help them buy their tickets for service PJ1. A special queuing system will be in operation, and fans are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive in good time, as services are expected to be busy. The PJ1 service takes just 25 minutes to get to the arena from the city centre.
Alternatively, shuttle services will also be available from Kingswells and Craibstone Park and Ride sites. Dedicated buses will be waiting to take fans back to the city centre and both Park and Ride sites after the event.
Stagecoach Bluebird is encouraging customers to pay with contactless where possible, to reduce queuing times. All major debit and credit cards are accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Single tickets will be available for £2.70, but the best value option is the Aberdeen City Dayrider, priced at just £4.20. This ticket allows travel across the Stagecoach network in the Aberdeen City zone, as well as on service PJ1. Dayrider tickets can also be purchased in advance on the Stagecoach Bus app.
And it’s great news for those with free bus travel passes, such as travellers aged under 22, over 60 or those with a disability- these are all accepted on the PJ1 and Park & Ride services. Just bring along your card and present to a staff member each time you board.
Taking the bus to the venue is the best way to have an environmentally friendly night out, especially with the expanding fleet of electric double deck buses operating on the Stagecoach network in Aberdeen, including on services PJ1 and 727.
