Junior Chamber International Aberdeen (JCI) is launching a fundraiser, aiming to raise vital funds for its charity of the year, Community and Food Initiatives North East (CFINE).
As the lead partner in the Food Banks Partnership Aberdeen, CFINE provides emergency food parcels to local community members in need. JCI Aberdeen volunteers are hosting a quiz night on Friday, September 18 and are urgently seeking sponsors for the event to help raise valuable funds to enable CFINE to carry out their vital work in the region.
It is predicted that demand for CFINE services will continue to grow as the economy in Aberdeen faces a period of uncertainty and decline. Throughout 2015 JCI members have been working closely with CFINE and have assisted with food sorting in the CFINE Poynernook Road warehouse and have also collected food donations from local supermarkets.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the quiz- more information and ticket purchase is available here. For sponsorship enquiries please contact communications@jciaberdeen.org.uk
