Speakers on Spokes event to raise funds for Inspire

Local learning disability charity, Inspire, is to benefit from the ‘pedal-power’ of a renowned business speaker and coach this month, whilst also offering local organisations the opportunity to become more successful in these challenging times

‘Speakers On Spokes’ has seen Iain Whyte – ‘The Big Man Talking’ – undertake three cycling challenges between August 27 and September 21, covering almost 1300 miles, to raise funds for Inspire – which provides a range of services to more than 400 people with additional support needs throughout the North-east of Scotland.

Iain – who has delivered motivational seminars to clients across the globe – will be completing his journey in Aberdeen by delivering a Motivational Seminar at his homecoming BBQ which will, among other things, help attendees get the most out of their employees and improve their business relationships.

Andrew Reid, trust and community fundraiser at Inspire, said: “We are extremely grateful to Iain for undertaking this challenge in aid of Inspire. Not content with the physical exertion of cycling almost 1300 miles in 14 days, he also wants to share his knowledge and experience with local businesses and I am sure his inspirational and engaging presentation will be of interest to many people.”

The Seminar and BBQ will take place at Inspire’s Café Coast & Meeting Rooms, on the Beach Boulevard, from 5pm-7pm on Wednesday, September 21 and is priced at £15 per delegate – including BBQ and refreshments - with all funds going to the charity. Places must be booked in advance by contacting Andrew Reid on 01224 280005 or by email andrew.reid@inspiremail.org.uk.

Anyone who is interested in finding out more about the charity should contact Inspire on 01224 280005 or visit www.inspireptl.org.uk.
