Research between design studies, visual culture and urban geography will be the subject of a seminar at Robert Gordon University (RGU) later this month.
Doctor Robert Harland of Loughborough University’s School of the Arts will be speaking about his work on how graphic objects function as urban objects on Thursday April 28 at 2.30pm at RGU’s Aberdeen Business School.
Drawing from research at the interface between design studies, visual culture and urban geography, Robert will explain the relationship between graphic objects and urban objects.
He will identify problems associated with categorization and the need for multidisciplinary research to better understand the complexity associated with how cities ‘speak’.
The research seminar will be held in room 608/609. To attend, please e-mail Agnieszka Kruk-Omenzetter on a.kruk-omenzetter@rgu.ac.uk
