Scottish-based design and property specialist, Space Solutions, have made a number of key appointments to their business and studio teams as their growth strategy continues to deliver results.
Alistair McLean joined the Edinburgh team in April to deliver continued growth for its design and professional services. With a background in design and property for national and international brands, Alistair will assist in growing revenue from the £4.8m delivered in Q1 by the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, a 169% increase on Q1, 2015.
These significant results are being driven by three distinct market trends: Increased business confidence, increased number of lease events and Public sector budget pressures.
Derek Binnie, director in Central Scotland said :“The tenant property market is moving, but companies have learnt the lessons of the recession and are looking to secure advice on the right size of property before committing. In addition, businesses and organisations have learnt that creating inspiring environments delivers commercial and cultural growth. Landlords are also looking to maximise their occupancy rates and are investing in upgrading property to meet the stock issue of Grade A space available in our cities.”
“The public sector is under significant pressure to maximise efficiencies. They are engaging in a multitude of strategic initiatives: Estate rationalisation, Facilities management reviews and intelligent working styles to cut costs.”
Studio director and work place specialist, Phil Muir, added :“In response to these market trends, our design and consultancy services are becoming increasingly relevant to a broader range of sectors. The relevance of inspiring and intelligent design is playing a critical role in organisations achieving their potential and they are willing to invest in the expertise to achieve this”.
