Somebody Cares is ready to help with emergency food response

In a statement, the organisation said:

We have temporarily closed our shop in line with the latest government restrictions on non-essential businesses, and our Warehouse is also closed to all but essential staff. Our key focus now is food.

Giving food out

If you are an individual who needs a food bag then please contact us and we will do what we can to help – but please only use this service if you need to. If you are from an establishment that is distributing food amongst your local community then we would also like to help you where we can.

Taking food donations in

If you are a business that can donate large amounts of food please contact us. We are willing to pick up throughout the day and evening. If you are an individual who would like to donate food then please contact us and we will tell you how you can do this.

Monetary donations

With no income coming in from our shop we need to be able buy food when we need to, and from where we can, and also fund the costs of keeping our vans on the road for deliveries and pick-ups. If you feel you are able to help then please see the links below.

We are working with the Aberdeen City Council's emergency response team and other local charities to coordinate this but, until that process can be setup we ask that you contact us directly.

Please be aware that, while the situation may change daily based on government restrictions, we will continue to do all we can to support those that need our help:
