Humza Yousaf is set to outline his party's plans to oppose Labour's high-tax strategy on oil and gas companies during a speech in Aberdeen.
The First Minister is expected to warn workers in the region will "pay the price" of Labour's plan, which has received huge backlash since being unveiled.
Both Mr Yousaf and the SNP's Westminster Leader, and MP for Aberdeen South, Stephen Flynn have come out against Sir Keir Starmer's latest policy.
Labour's Green Prosperity Plan, which includes raising the windfall tax on oil and gas companies from 75% to 78% and extending it to 2029, puts up to 100,000 jobs in the industry at risk, costing the Treasury up to £20billion.
In a speech at His Majesty's Theatre, Mr Yousaf is expected to say: “You cannot deliver a just transition from oil and gas – for the people and businesses that rely on it – if you squeeze the life out of the sector overnight
"The SNP will oppose Labour’s aggressive tax plans for the sector.
"A policy designed solely to plug the massive financial hole in plans to build new nuclear power plants in England.
"Once again the workers of the north-east are being asked to pay the price because of Westminster’s economic and energy mismanagement.
"As ever, when Westminster parties need to find cash – they look to Scotland."
Sir Keir has insisted North Sea oil and gas will continue for "decades to come" in a speech at the Scottih Labour Party Conference.
