Taste of Grampian is back on June 4 and it’s bigger and better than ever before.
With only five stands remaining for this year’s event, the largest one-day food festival in Scotland is now firmly on the map as one of the best food events in Scotland. The economic impact surrounding the event is significant with it benefitting the local economy by over £2million year on year.
But it’s not all about promoting food products to the 14,000 people who attend every year. It’s also about the crossover from standholders to suppliers and sponsors. It’s a chance to network and get products seen by hoteliers, wholesalers, supermarkets and shops.
Chairman of the Taste of Grampian committee John Gregor explains; “The number of new products that are sampled at Taste of Grampian and then bought by companies after the event is significant. It is a real chance for producers, small and large, to be seen and heard by some major players in the industry.”
Last year 84% of standholders reported a positive economic impact on their business with 69% gaining higher than expected sales for a normal Saturday. Stands for this year are almost completely sold out proving that it’s one of the most significant events for food and drink producers.
Companies who are considering whether to showcase their products at this year’s event will have to be quick off the mark. Carol Fowler from Prime Event Management, organisers of Taste of Grampian, is keen to make sure no-one misses out. “We envisage selling the last of the stands in the next few days. There really is no better platform than Taste of Grampian if local food and drink producers want to reach such a large audience in one day.”
