Skene House Whitehall celebrates five years at number one on TripAdvisor®

A renowned Aberdeen location is celebrating after retaining the number one spot on a leading travel website for consecutive five years.

Skene House Whitehall has marked the milestone achievement of retaining the number one spot on the TripAdvisor® listings for Aberdeen hotels for the past five years, uninterrupted, with sister venue Skene House Rosemount currently at number two.

TripAdvisor® is the world’s largest travel site and operates in 48 markets worldwide. It offers advice on services and facilities such as restaurants and hotels from millions of travellers and records an average of 350 million monthly unique visitors.

The Skene House collection of properties occupy prime locations in Aberdeen city centre, namely Skene House Whitehall, Skene House Rosemount and Skene House Holburn. All three venues pride themselves on a relaxing, “home from home” atmosphere. Skene House Whitehall offers 49 studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments. Private gardens enhance the location’s feel of offering an oasis in the city yet one which lies within easy reach of the city centre.

Business owner Professor Charles P. Skene OBE has a long interest and history of support for tourism for many years, having been a member of the Scottish Tourist Board consultative committee in the mid-1970s. He has long believed that tourism is important to Aberdeen and North-east Scotland, and is even more so in view of the current downturn in oil and gas.

Commenting on the achievement of Skene House, he said: “The feedback we receive from our customers via channels such as TripAdvisor® is very important to us as we strive to offer services of a consistently high standard.

“To hold the number one spot in Aberdeen for five years is an excellent achievement and is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Skene House Whitehall whose raison d’etre is to make visits to Aberdeen an enjoyable experience.”
