After close to two decades at the helm, Sir Ian Wood is stepping back from his role as chairman of The Wood Foundation.
The charity, which Sir Ian founded in 2007, has delivered profound impacts across Africa and the UK under his stewardship.
In that time, The Wood Foundation became a leader in transformative philanthropy, empowering communities, fostering education and enterprise, and driving sustainable development.
Its initiatives, such as supporting tea farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa and championing education programmes in Scotland, have created lasting opportunities and improved countless lives.
Reflecting on his time as chairman, Sir Ian said: “It has been an immense privilege to lead this extraordinary organisation and work alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals.
"Together, we have transformed lives and built a legacy of positive change that will resonate for generations to come both in the UK and overseas.”
Sir Ian's son, Garreth Wood, will assume the role of chairman.
