Signed rock memorabilia set to ‘drum up’ funds for charity

An autographed drum skin by alternative rock band Royal Blood is one of several items being auctioned by local children’s charity Charlie House to raise funds for its Big Build Appeal.

Band members Michael Kerr and Ben Thatcher signed the item for the charity’s Charlie House Big Build Ball on Friday, December 7 at the AECC.

The event will see hundreds of guests treated to an evening of fantastic entertainment, food and fundraising. Other auction prizes will include flowers every month for a year, a ‘Behind the Ropes at the Scottish Open’ experience, a week’s accommodation in a Cyprus Villa and accommodation for 3 nights for up to 14 guests at Ballogie House. The package also includes clay pigeon shooting for 4-8 guests, afternoon tea provided by Potarch Café & Restaurant and a decadent drinks reception and dinner hosted by Country Flavours of Alford.

Susan Crighton, director of fundraising for Charlie House, says, “We have had so many generous items gifted for the auction at our Big Build Ball, it really has been overwhelming. We have some exciting ‘money can’t buy’ items which will be announced on the evening and look forward to sharing those at the event. We have over 370 guests attending and have just a few tables remaining.”

Susan continues, “All of the profits made at the ball will go directly to our Big Build Appeal and towards our £8m fundraising total for the Charlie House Specialist Support Centre.”

Individual tickets are available at £100 per person which includes a welcome drink, three-course meal and entertainment. Final tables of 10 and 12 are available. To book a table at this year’s Charlie House Big Build Ball please contact fundraise@charliehouse.org.uk.
