James became homeless at the age of 16. He had never received a Christmas present in his life.

While many people spent the festive season celebrating with family and friends, enjoying good food, and exchanging gifts, James was sofa-surfing. He was not neglected or abused, but poverty and his mother’s ill-health left him with no place to call home.

Scottish charity Quarriers stepped in to support James, providing him with essentials and treats, including festive food and a warm blanket. They even wrapped it for him, giving him his very first Christmas present. This year, James will celebrate Christmas in his own one-bedroom flat, provided by the local authority.

Quarriers works with young people in North-east Scotland who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. However, Christmas gifts are not considered a funding priority, so Quarriers relies on donations to give young people a gift to open on Christmas Day.

Signal proudly supported this cause by providing toiletries packs, festive food hampers, Christmas parcels, and home-sweet-home bundles. The hope is to inspire others to do the same.

A donation of just £15 can provide someone like James with a Festive Food Hamper, reminding them that they are valued and deserve the simple joys that many take for granted.
