Huntly shortbread bakers Dean’s have teamed up with popular Scottish artist Steven Brown to create a range of colourful and contemporary gift tins.
Designed to shake-up the old-fashioned image of the traditional Scottish shortbread tin, Dean’s have replaced the more conventional tartan, stags and Scottie dogs with Steven Brown’s iconic multi-coloured designs, creating an eye-catching modernisation of this classic Scottish gift.
Aimed specifically at the gift sector, sales of the new range are really taking off as the Christmas gifting season gathers pace, with consumers eager to get their hands on their favourite Steven Brown design.
Siobhan Ingram, brand manager at Dean’s commented ‘’We are very happy to be working in collaboration with Steven Brown on our latest development project. Our new gift tin range looks stunning, Steven’s designs are fresh and modern but still proudly Scottish and have a very broad appeal. It’s exciting to see a completely new audience engaging with the Dean’s brand and enjoying our delicious shortbread’’.
Dean’s first started baking their melt in the mouth shortbread in the 1970’s, when company founder Helen Dean started baking in her Aberdeenshire kitchen to raise funds for the local pipe band. Today the family owned business still bakes it’s shortbread to Helen’s exacting standards, and the Dean’s brand has grown to become a household name across Scotland and beyond.
The range was launched through selected gift retailers at the end of September, and is now also available to buy online at www.stevenbrownart.co.uk and www.deans.co.uk
